Mullaloo Beach & Park
For luxury accommodation, you couldn’t get closer to the beach in Perth. Mullaloo Beach is renowned for being one of the best in Perth. This is a beach that is surrounded by two lush green manicured parks, both with open spaces, free to use inbuilt barbecues, brand new children’s play equipment, toilet and shower facilities, surf lifesaving club, ice-cream, coffee, fish & chips and so much more. Mullaloo Beach south is nestled in a cove and is best for swimming as the waters are calm and you are being monitored by surf lifesavers, where Mullaloo Beach north is quieter, closer to the reef and best for a surf.
Our café bar sits on a shelf overlooking the Indian ocean with internal and external dining. Sunsets are pretty much a guarantee nightly.
We’re Famous for Food! - Our Café bar is open from morning until late 7 days a week. If you are a food lover, you are unlikely to discover a café bar like this in Western Australia. It always helps when one of the hotel owners is a chef and a self-proclaimed foodie. Wes D’Arcy is one of our owners and our executive chef. He creates, manages and maintains all of the menus in our café bar, venue bar, beachside coffee hatch and fish & chip shop.
It’s unusual to discover a venue that produces almost everything from scratch across a broad range of choices.
Our menu consists of the following:
- Seven types of fresh handmade pasta dishes made from scratch by us daily.
- A selection of traditional Italian handmade stone baked pizzas. Our dough, our way.
- Gourmet Burgers made from 25% wagyu mince, 75% lean Angus beef mince, herbs, spices. Served on a real French brioche bun with Swiss cheese, homemade aioli and homemade tomato sauce.
- All desserts and focaccia bread baked with pride by us.
- We specialise in an extensive vegan menu with the widest vegan choices in Western Australia. Once again all produced by us fresh. Yes, we make the (vegan) sausage, the burgers, pasta, pizzas, curry and the sauces.
- Lots of seafood – local blue swimmer crab, South Australian prawns, local Barramundi, salmon from the cold Tasmanian waters and lots more to explore.
We do not cook without the use of synthetic products, so our chocolate is made from cocoa, our maple syrup is real 100% organic Canadian maple syrup, our olive oil is delivered Saturday mornings by Colm who farms it locally in Gingin.
We do not user MSG, chemicals in food, preservatives, additive, artificial flavours or artificial colours. If we need purple, we use beetroot juice, if we need yellow, we use turmeric juice or powder and if it’s green, we use spinach juice. If it’s blue, you’re at the wrong spot.
Good news for gluten-free customers! We now offer 90% of our food as GFO or it’s just naturally GF.
Despite having strict cross contamination practices in our kitchens, we do use flour, nuts and animal products so trace elements are possible across all food items.
Our venue bar also shares the shelf overlooking the Indian ocean with internal and external casual seating to enjoy the ocean views and sunset. We host a party DJ on weekends from 8 pm until midnight. Customers love our bar for its organic charm, so much timber and sunset tones.
We have utilised the local Jarrah tree to handcraft our bar finishings, shelving, furniture and more. Sit around an old wine barrel with a jarrah top, drink a local botanical gin or cab sav, eat local cheese, local cured meats and watch the sunset.
Fish & Chip Shop
Our fish and chip shop has become the most iconic on the northern beaches. You can stroll in barefoot across the day and enjoy a classic lunch or dinner in the park or on the beach.
Our fish is cooked to order in front of your eyes with a batter that sits between classic British and crispy Japanese tempura. Sauces, salads, coleslaw, curry sauce made by us daily.
Be sure to try our own homemade southern fried chicken tenders and our battered baby Irish pork sausages made by local butcher Paul McLoughlin.
Afterwards, you could be cheeky and pop back in for an Italian Gelato in a waffle cone, made by our Italian friend Matteo.
If you are a coffee fan, Grafton St. is Perth’s most exciting coffee bench. It’s on the street, across from the beach. Just perfect!
Enjoy amazing coffee with the most excellent of milk choices, iced coffees, Asian teas, fresh pressed juices pressed in front of your eyes with real fruit, veg & spices, homemade healthy smoothies, ice-cream milkshakes made from jams, gourmet toasties and a wide selection of baked goods.
Grafton St. bakes all cakes, cookies, amoretti, pastries, vegan and raw products on site daily. The Molten choc brownies are the firm favourite. Nothing compares to Grafton St.
